In July 2026, the NTU Pharmacology teaching team held an away day at Spring Lakes in Long Eaton, combining team-building with a well-earned opportunity to spend time together outside the usual teaching and assessment cycle. The day centred on a practical, hands-on challenge: working in small groups to design, build, and then race rafts on the water-testing not only creativity and problem-solving, but also communication, coordination, and a bit of competitive spirit. After the races, we took time to explore the wider water park and enjoy the facilities, making the most of the setting to relax, reflect, and strengthen team connections.
